Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner, so I have some fun ways you can celebrate with your family! This day of festivities is celebrated to remember the Battle of Puebla that was won in 1862 and it helps us celebrate the Mexican heritage. “Fiesta” is our theme for this Cinco de Mayo!
For my tablescape, I started with a plain white table cloth. Going with a white table cloth helped bring out all the fun colors I used. I then laid out a striped Serape table runner. This beautiful piece truly made my table stand out! I accompanied my table runner with a nice flower arrangement as the center-piece. I also added a few more props like maracas, cactus plants and some popular Mexican toys, to show more of the Mexican culture.
The tableware was simple but went well with the “Fiesta” theme. I used some wooden charger plates that were accompanied with some cool styled stoneware dinner plates on top. I then added a yellow napkin topped off with a cute mini plastic sombrero. And to finish off my table setting, I made sure not to forget the “Jarritos”, which are some delicious fruit flavored sodas.
We were definitely ready to Fiesta with this party bar I created!
