Halloween is one of our favorite holidays to celebrate, but we know this year Halloween is canceled or is it? I decided to start planning on how to have a great Halloween at home with our kids! We love everything about Halloween from dressing up, transforming our home into a spooky haunted house and of course trick-or-treating. While this year may not be safe to go trick-or-treating from door to door, it doesn’t mean you can’t have a fang-tastic Halloween at home! This year we went with some non traditional colors, pink and black, for Halloween.
Be sure to be ready for a fun trick or treat at home with this SPOOK-tacular pink & black Halloween! I hope you find BOO-tiful ideas so you can create your own Halloween at home!
My inspiration for this Pink and Black Halloween Party were these beautiful black paper tableware sets with gold foil bats from Ellie and Piper. I started with a spider web Halloween tablecloth and placed a pink and white striped paper table runner over it to cover the whole table. Then I place some soft pink plates along with black paper plates and cups designed with gold foil bats. I also went with some bat paper placemats to incorporate more of the bat design. I decided to get a bit creative by making a DIY black and gold sparkling cutlery.
By adding small pumpkins and some black roses, we’ve created a much fuller look for the centerpiece.
Next, let’s talk about this “WOW” backdrop! I made this custom balloon garland with pink, black and gold balloons. I then added some spider webs, spiders, bats and pink ghost plates to bring in the Halloween. I also added some macramé wall hanging decorations, raffia pumpkins and a vase with some pampas grass to give it some of my favorite boho vibes!
Can you believe I made this spooky DIY tree silhouette by just eyeballing it onto some cardboard. Then, I cut it out and painted it with black paint while my husband made for me the DIY coffin! I love how it all turned out!
Of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween if we didn’t include “CANDY & SWEETS”.
I decorated some store-bought cupcakes with black and white striped cupcake wrappers and I added some skull cupcake toppers as well. I created this festive Halloween snack board full of sweets and candies. I also included my favorite cream cheese sugar cookies decorated as bats, ghosts, cats and boo’s into my snack board. I displayed my snack board inside the coffin for anyone brave enough to reach into the frightful coffin!! We sure couldn’t wait until Halloween! This SPOOK-tacular Pink & Black Halloween Party is fun for both the kids and grown-ups. My girls have the most fun time ever with these Halloween at home!
Hope this sneak peek into our Halloween party inspired you BOOS to create a good time during this pandemic time.
Be safe, and thank you for visiting!
