Let’s Party Like a Pineapple! A tropical pineapple birthday party, perfect for summer themes! I’m very excited to share with you this amazing outdoor party idea that I styled! I will give you some easy decorations ideas, pineapple party desserts, party ware and tips to plan this fun, and bright tropical pineapple theme party!. As we know tropical pineapples are everywhere these days so I recently came across these beautiful blue turquoise pineapple plates and fell in love with the colors. throughout this partly, you will see a bunch of tropical items.
A party starts with invitations. I found this cute invitation card, along with blue turquoise pineapple plates, at Target’s dollar spot. There is where I came up with the idea of making this tropical pineapple theme party. I fell in love with the color scheme and I thought it would be beautiful to bring these colors together.
TABLE SETTING
For my table I used this beautiful blue turquoise table-cover, and placed tropical leaves down as placemats and then placed a yellow plastic dinner plate along with this beautiful pineapple plates. I laid down a white and blue striped napkin, gold cutlery, and used yellow cups with pineapple straws. For my centerpiece I got a bit creative and made a yellow balloon garland, adorned with some tropical leave. This a lot less costly for your pocket.
Happy birthday banners are the easiest way to add excitement to any celebration!
I used a gold happy banner and pineapple banner. I added some yellow balloons on each side and attached tropical leaves to keep the tropical theme throughout the party.
BACKDROP
For my backdrop I wanted a fun fresh tropical look, so I used two (2 1/4ft X 5 1/2ft ) straw beach mats for my backdrop. I added some large and small yellow paper fans, with large tropical leaves on each side. To add some decorative fun to the party I hung some pineapple banners as well as a celebrate banner. I also added a little DIY by making and adding some tropical leaves to a yellow tissue tassel garland. A long white rectangular table was arranged for the dessert . I placed a plastic blue-turquoise table cover on top, allowing the color themes to stand out. The table was wrapped in a white skirt to create an elegant look.
It’s not a birthday party without sweets, and I had a table full of them! The desserts were evenly displayed among the table with these cute pineapple bowls that I flipped over to use as dessert displays, as well as varying heights of cake stands. Dessert included: mini cheesecakes, pineapple mousse, and madeleines made to look like pineapples. The right side of the dessert table held a clear plastic beverage dispenser filled with delicious pineapple juice, which allowed the beautiful yellow color from pineapple juice to stand out. I added some glass jars with pineapples straws next to the beverage dispenser. I wanted to keep the tropical vibe by adding more greenery like this artificial tropical leaf glass which I placed on the left side of the table and large/small gold pineapple decorations that matched the color scheme without much effort.
CAKE
How cute is this yellow and green ombre cake for this tropical pineapple theme party? I had my baker make this beautiful ombre cake to look like a pineapple. Inside layers of vanilla cake with pineapple filling. I added a gold happy birthday cake topper, a tropical leaf, and a small pineapple from some of the extra pineapple straws. I made the same pineapple print as the plates with fondant and attached it to the cake. I love how it turned out!
I made this mini cheesecake and topped it with frosting. I added some tropical leaf cupcakes toppers and used @popofgold ‘s idea of creating cupcake toppers out of extra pineapple straws by just cutting them down. It’s a great idea, plus it saves you money on supplies! I displayed my mini cheesecakes on a cute plastic pineapple bowl, I just flipped it over to give it the height I wanted since I wasn’t going to used it as a bowl. And it turned out looking amazing!
I thought these pineapple cheesecake mousse treats would be the perfect dessert for this tropical pineapple theme party. It’s very easy to make and no baking is required, plus they’ll look super cute on your dessert table.
Look it how cute! These madeleines were made to look like pineapples by just adding some cupcake toppers.
This cake sure was delicious!
